Two historic sites offer an "Old Florida" experience with varied options and prices for groups of all sizes. Rentals are available for an entire weekend or just a few hours. Our site rental specialist will work with you to select the natural setting and historic venue of your choice to make your event unique and memorable.

This reconstructed 1890s chapel provides an intimate setting for small formal or casual Florida-style weddings. The chapel is non-denominational and contains wooden pews to seat 30 - 40 people. Original stained glass windows provide colorful lighting and open for ventilation. An exhibit of historic furniture is at the front, with an antique pump organ which is electrified and can be played by your musician.


The Pergola and Sunken Garden were designed as part of Mrs. Potter Palmer’s winter estate in the early 1900s. This gracious outdoor garden, overlooking Little Sarasota Bay, features a sunken pool with elegant water fountain and neo-classic style pergola with 16 columns. It is an idyllic setting for a Florida garden wedding. The blue sky and colorful bougainvillea provide all the decoration you need. You’ll love this stunning setting for memorable pictures.

Duchene Lawn

The Duchene Lawn was built as part of the gardens of Mrs. Potter Palmer. This graceful green lawn is surrounded by palms and mangroves with the Classic Portal in the center. It is centrally located in the 30-acre museum and provides an intimate setting.

This raised platform overlooks a lush green lawn and Little Sarasota Bay. The stage may serve as a ceremony back drop and seats 20-30 people for a reception or private party.
